Objectives

I’m searching for an organization in which I can hone my technical, creative and leadership skills. I was raised in a culture of servant leadership, and I believe leadership always matters; it is the lens through which talent and capability are focused. I will always be attracted to roles that provide opportunities to not only achieve great business outcomes, but make a difference in the lives of the people around me as well.

I want to be pushed out of my comfort zone and challenged to expand the scope of my abilities into different work cultures and operational paradigms.

Background

I received an Associate’s Degree from College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL, focusing in Fine Art and Digital Multimedia. Since then, I have had a career in retail management that I’ve supplemented with freelance editing and design projects.

All of this was interrupted by cancer in 2017, which I subsequently beat. In my downtime during treatment, I taught myself how to use Unreal Engine 4 with the help of mentors and online resources, and founded a team of mod developers. We created a mod called Emberlight, which went on to amass more than 650,000 downloads from the Steam Workshop. All told, I have over 1 million downloads between all of the mods I’ve authored or contributed to.

Because it helped me stay focused and grow during such a difficult time, game development will always have a special place in my heart. My next major goal in that space is to publish my own full game to Steam.
